S4 PHÆTON LDY 400J SHOW CAR
A very important Dutton LDY 400J been the personal transport for Tim Dutton for over a year. This is the 6000th Dutton made during the 1980's. Plaque on dashboard certified by Tim Dutton as 6000th Dutton
along with original aluminium VIN plate showing :- P6000
An immaculate Dutton Phæton Series 4, based exclusively on a 1970 Ford Escort Mk1 1300cc GT. Correctly registered as a Dutton (no Q plate) as a Historic Vehicle so no road tax or MOT required.
V5C present in the name of Tim Dutton. Fitted with correct original period/size Weller white wheels 5.5 inch J x 13 front, 6 inch J x13 rear no rim damage and with the optional chrome rollover bar. With side screens and hardly used hood. Maintained regardless of expense. Wiring stripped out and replaced with all new wiring. Apart from the all new wiring this car is 100% original (All numbers match) including the original very well maintained white gel coat - as it left the factory around 40 years ago

Much increased interest (and values) now being shown in Phætons since Dutton has been exhibited at the 3 major shows during 2025. This archetypical Phæton Series 4 has been fully road tested by Steve Hole, editor of TKC (Track, Kit & Classic) magazine with a 4 page write-up (May/ June edition)

We purchased this S4 a couple of years ago so a comparison could be made against the all new Phæton 5 for a couple of write-ups appearing early 2026 in the 2 major kit car magazines. P. So price is nowto £3,800 ono to clear. A deposit can be accepted but car collection will not be possible until end January 2026.
